The Waterloo Festival is thrilled to confirm that Jan Švankmajer’s latest film Surviving Life, currently taking the international film festival circuit by storm, will be closing the Waterloo Festival.
Made in the hallmark, deliciously trippy Švankmajer visual style and full of loopy dark humour, Surviving Life explores the psyche of Eugene, a man with two identities: one in real life, another in his dreams. And when Eugene’s obsession with finding out what his dreams mean spills out into his life, he finds out that the difference between dreams and reality is far less than it seems.
The film will be playing at 7:00pm on Sunday November 21 at the Festival theatre.
