Ticket Preorders Closed (11/05/02)

With the festival underway, tickets may no longer be purchased online. There will, however, be tickets for each feature at the door, available at $10 per ticket. Passes may also be available in small numbers, at $30 per pass.

Spirited Away Confirmed (09/30/02)

WFAC, is pleased to announce that Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi), Miyazaki's latest masterpiece, will be joining the film festival lineup. Stay tuned for more details.

What is WFAC?

WFAC, The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema, is a film festival which aims to promote animated cinema as a valid form of high art.

On November 6-7th, 2002, WFAC will be holding its second annual festival at the Waterloo Galaxy Cinema in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, . This state-of-the-art theatre features ten screens, DTS/Dolby digital sound, two digital projectors, and stadium seating. The theatre is located conveniently 1 hour's drive from Toronto, 1.5 hours from Niagara Falls/Buffalo, or 3 hours from Windsor/Detroit. (Map coming shortly)

Last year's inaugural festival featured Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Metropolis and Jin-roh: the Wolf Brigade. This year, we've got an even bigger and more exciting lineup planned.

Where and when is it?

Just like last year, we'll be holding the festival at Waterloo Galaxy Cinemas. This festival begins on November 6th with Spriggan and Spirited AWay, and ends on November 7th with Tree of Palme and Cowboy Bebop. Note that tickets are best bought in advance.

Ticket Information

Although ticket preorders have closed, tickets will still be sold at the door on November 6th and 7th at Waterloo Galaxy Cinemas , where the festival will be held, at $10 per feature.

Note: Some passes may still be availble for purchase at the door, at $30 each.
