Earlier this year, the Festival was overjoyed to learn that Warner Brothers Canada would be pleased to screen "The Animatrix" to you, our audience. The episodes which would be screened would be what was available.

This past Friday, during the course of verifying which episodes would be available, we learned that the screening was still being reviewed at the highest levels of the company.

We have been holding back on publicity pending verification of all items in our press releases, and we can ill afford to wait longer. Thus, we, and our contact at Warner Brothers Canada, feel that it would be most prudent to set "The Animatrix" aside for now, pending further news.

We regret and apologise for any inconvenience this has caused, and we hope that i) you will continue to support "The Animatrix" when it arrives on DVD; ii) that you will still join us for our celebration of animation.

Of course, we hope that AOL Time Warner will also join us for this celebration, and bring to you these truly interesting stories of the Matrix.

The Animatrix is back at the WFAC!

We will be screening "Last Flight of the Osiris" to open WFAC 2003, on Wednesday April 23rd at the Galaxy. If Warner Brothers can provide the rest of the shorts, you'll be the first to know!
